The Spokesman to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Demola Olarewaju, on Tuesday suggested a presidential ticket that can “get rid of the All Progressives Congress, APC, government” in 2027.Olarewaju who is the Special Assistant on Digital Media Strategy to the Wazirin Adamawa disclosed that an Atiku-Obi ticket would remove the APC government.

In an interview on News Central TV, he recalled that Atiku garnered 6.98 million votes while Obi got 6.1 million in the last presidential election.

He said: “That is a possibility, Atiku-Obi on the same ticket. The only thing we can rule out are those things that are constitutionally impossible just as Atiku running as Vice President again.“He has served as Vice President for eight years and he can’t be VP again.

“So, a lot of things are being explored especially within the ADC, when I say that they are on the same page, I mean that they are working within the same political family which is the ADC coalition.

“That’s what I mean when I said Atiku and Obi along with other patriotic Nigerians are on the same page.

“It’s not about the aspiration or running the country, the both of them are on the same page and are great patriots of the country.“If they have to sacrifice to stay on that same page and pull forces together, I think the two of them must have a very clear cut political arrangement which is clear to all Nigerians.

“His Excellency Atiku Abubakar pulled 6.98 million votes, his Excellency Peter Obi pulled 6.1 million votes, if we can have those two votes together that would be the first step towards getting rid of APC government.” Newspot.
