4 Players signed by Todd Boehly who have never played for Chelsea

Here are four players signed under the new Todd Boehly Chelsea administration who still have not played for the club.

The 2025 Club World Cup winners, Chelsea are no strangers when it comes to the transfer market. Since the Todd Boehly-led consortium took over Chelsea Football Club in 2022, the club has been active in the transfer market, investing heavily in young talent with long-term potential.

However, not every player signed during Boehly’s reign has had the chance to wear the famous blue shirt on the pitch for the first team.

Here are four players signed under Boehly’s ownership who never played a competitive match for Chelsea FC’s first team:

Kendry Páez

Despite his young age and rising reputation, Páez remained with his home club, Independiente del Valle, and is not expected to join Chelsea until he turns 18 in 2025.

Geovany Quenda

Geovany Quenda Signed from: Sporting CP (Portugal), March 2025 Fee: ~£40 million up front (potentially ~£45–50m total) Status: Will remain on loan at Sporting until Summer 2026 before joining Chelsea Portuguese winger Quenda was acquired after a ‘secret blitz’ that saw Chelsea beat out the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, and PSG for his signature. He will officially arrive in London in 2026, having already featured 43 times for Sporting.

William Estevão

Signed from: Palmeiras (Brazil) Fee: ~£51 million (joining in 2025) Status: Will remain at Palmeiras until 2025 One of Brazil’s most hyped young wingers, Estevão (aka “Messinho”) won’t join Chelsea until mid-2025. The deal was made early to secure his services before other European giants could swoop in.

Mamadou Sarr

Mamadou Sarr Signed from: RC Strasbourg (France), Summer 2025 Fee: ~£12 million (possibly up to ~£20 million) Status: Signed long-term (contract through 2033), part of the squad for the FIFA Club World Cup but yet to feature in a competitive match such as Premier League, FA Cup, or European competition TAGS
