5 killed in Niger road crash 

A trailer crash on the Lambata -Suleja road in Niger State has claimed five lives and left two others severely injured.

Sources told Daily Trust that the trailer loaded with goods crashed before the Izom bridge, in Gurara LGA, on Tuesday morning.

The latest lone crash involving a heavy-duty vehicle occurred less than a week after a similar incident claimed 22 lives and left 20 others injured

Adamu Umar, a resident of Lambata told our correspondent that the Tuesday accident happened at a bad portion of the road near the Izom bridge.

The Sector Commander of the Niger State Federal Road Safety Corps, Aishatu Sa’adu, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
