Alice Odumakin, the mother of the late Yinka Odumakin, who was the National Publicity Secretary of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group Afenifere, has passed away at the age of 93.
Yinka’s wife, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin, announced that Alice died on Wednesday morning in Ikorodu, Lagos.
She added that Alice never recovered from the loss of her son and husband until she passed away.
The family will provide more information about Alice Odumakin’s passing soon.
Yinka Odumakin, who died in April 2021 due to COVID-related complications, was a prominent human rights activist and a vocal advocate for the rights of the Yoruba people in Nigeria.
