‘Tell that to your father’: Outrage as Governor El-Rufai’s son shades Falz for going abroad for surgery

Governor El-Rufai’s son, Bashir El-Rufai, has received backlash on social media over his reaction to the news that popular Nigerian singer Femi Falana, aka Falz, travelled abroad for his knee surgery.

He reacted to a tweet by NN News about the singer’s surgery with what many took as indirect shade at the star for not having the surgery at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) since he is a “bonafide human rights activist” and noted it as “disappointing”.

His tweet got the anger of the masses, as many criticised him for being insensitive. They noted that he had no right to criticise Falz since his father, the present governor of Kaduna state, and other politicians refused to improve the medical sector of the country.
