2027: Kogi people have no plan B, we stand with Tinubu – Senator Karimi

The people of Kogi state are said to to currently preoccupied with the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.

Sunday Karimi, the lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate said the people of the state have no alternative candidate for the presidency other than Tinubu.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Senator said Kogi State has remained the biggest beneficiary of President Tinubu’s administration.

He said that since assuming office, Tinubu has invested in infrastructure development and human capital in the state.

“Furthermore, our people are being recognised and appointed to various departments and agencies, allowing them to contribute meaningfully to national development.

“Kogi State has suffered in the past from policy inconsistencies and the discontinuation of well-meaning developmental projects, which have set us back by decades.

Highlighting some of the gains of the present administration, Karimi said the 614-kilometre Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline project, initiated by the past government is already at 75 per cent completion stage.

He also stated that some of the long-standing requests made on behalf of the Kogi people have received accelerated attention by Tinubu’s administration.

“As things stand, the people of Kogi State are not interested in political experimentation or in seeking an alternative president and national leader.

“We have no Plan B — despite such suggestions being floated in some quarters. We will stand firmly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR — the leader we know and trust. There will be no wavering, no second-guessing in this commitment. To the doubters: it’s time to smell the coffee,” Karimi said.
