EFCC arrests 47 suspected internet fraudsters in Edo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 47 suspected internet fraudsters in Edo State.

The EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

He said the arrest followed credible intelligence that linked the suspects to fraudulent internet activities.

The operatives also recovered a pump-action rifle and live cartridges from one of the suspects.

“Other items recovered from them include six vehicles, mobile phones, and laptop computers.

“They will be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded,” he said.
