Edo Governor Okpebholo Hails Tinubu, Promises 2.5 Million Votes in 2027

Governor Okpebholo pointed to Tinubu’s economic stabilization efforts, particularly through recently assented tax reform bills, as evidence of progress under the current administration.

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has pledged to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, assuring him of massive support from Edo people.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Esan Central ahead of the Edo Central by-election, Okpebholo declared: “I, your son, have promised Mr. President 2.5 million votes. By the grace of God, come 2027, we’re going to deliver that vote to Mr. President.”

He further praised Tinubu’s leadership and reforms, describing them as transformative. “The president we have today, if Nigeria had had two of such presidents, Nigeria would’ve been like America,” he told supporters.

Okpebholo, who assumed office in November last year after serving as Senator for Edo Central, said his administration is committed to mobilizing Edo people under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stand firmly behind Tinubu in the next election.

In other news….. Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has reported a Facebook user named Okwulora to the police for attempting to raise funds on his behalf after spreading false information that he was ill and neglected by his children.

The rumor circulating online claimed that Clem had shared the strong bond he has with his only daughter, who has supported him since he suffered a stroke, while alleging that his sons had abandoned him.

Making a public appearance on social media after a long hiatus, Clem Ohameze refuted the allegations, clarifying that he does not have three sons. He also criticized the Facebook user for failing to reach out to him to verify the information before posting it.

“I have initiated a police case. I have sent his number and name to them. This is a cybercrime. I called my friend who is a director in the DSS. It has cost me a lot to come this far in my life. I will not let an idiot rubbish me just like that for cheap popularity because you want to attract traffic to your page. The other time, it was that I was dead; now it is that I had a stroke. I said this and that, but who did I grant the interview to? Do I have three sons? What nonsense is this? Why don’t you call and reach out to me and confirm? Now, you have succeeded in smearing my name all over the world. I guess he is satisfied. I had to call my children, and fortunately, it was only my daughter who heard about it. Why would people do this to me?” he said.
