“Your PVC is your Power!” – ADC tasks Nigerians on voters registration

In a passionate call to action, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged Nigerians to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and shape the nation’s future.

The directive came from the ADC Gombe State Chairman, Mr. Danladi Yau, during a State Executive Council (SEC) meeting in Gombe on Friday.

Yau emphasized the critical role of voter registration in empowering citizens to drive democratic change.

“Your PVC is your power to make decisions that will transform our nation,” he declared, urging Nigerians to fulfill their civic duty by obtaining their PVCs.

He specifically called on young Nigerians who have turned 18 to register, stating, “This is your chance to have a voice in the electoral process and demand the change you want to see.”

Addressing internal party matters, Yau tackled rumors of a faction within the ADC in Gombe State. He asserted his legitimacy, saying, “I am the authentic chairman of the ADC in Gombe State, recognized by INEC. Anyone parading themselves as chairman is fake and acting illegally.”

He clarified that the former chairman, whose tenure ended in 2019 after serving since 2011, was expelled in 2022.

“Our party constitution is clear—two terms, four years maximum. That time has long passed,” Yau added, brandishing the expulsion letter as proof.

Looking ahead, Yau reaffirmed the state chapter’s loyalty to the national leadership under David Mark and announced plans for a massive membership drive across Gombe’s 114 wards.

“We are mobilizing to build a formidable force to challenge the All Progressives Congress-led government in 2027, both in Gombe and across Nigeria,” he said, rallying party members to unite and strengthen the ADC’s grassroots presence.

The ADC’s message is clear: voter registration is not just a right but a weapon for change.

As Yau passionately put it, “With your PVC, you hold the key to Nigeria’s future. Don’t let it slip away.”
