Lawyer sues Sanwo-Olu

A Nigerian lawyer has sued Lagos state governor, Sanwo-Olu for blocking him on the popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter).

According to lawyer identifed as Festus Ogun , he is seeking a court order to compel Babajide Sanwo-Olu to unblock him on X  and issue a public apology for blocking him.

Festus Ogun claimed that the block caused him mental stress, but he wouldn’t seek damages to avoid being labeled a ‘gold digger’.

“I asked the court to compel him to unblock and apologize to me. Truly, I have gone through mental stress and trauma over this matter but I will not ask for damages so I won’t be seen as a golddiger”, The tweet stated.

His post was accompanied by a screenshot of the lawsuit and evidence of being blocked by Sanwo-Olu.

Recall that Babajide Sanwo-Olu blocked Festus Ogun in 2021 amid his criticisms of the governor’s policies and demands for accountability.
