Victor Boniface has signed his Werder Bremen contract on a season long loan move from Bayer Leverkusen .
The Nigerian forward has also completed his medical, according to Sky Germany.
Bremen’s pursuit of Boniface surfaced just on Monday, but negotiations moved quickly to reach an agreement with Leverkusen, who had a hectic day marked by the sacking of coach Erik ten Hag and the €30 million signing of Ezequiel Fernández.
Boniface, 24, leaves Leverkusen after registering 32 goals and 12 assists in 61 appearances across all competitions.
Despite his strong record, he was not part of Ten Hag’s plans. The Nigerian was previously linked with AC Milan this summer, but that move collapsed following an unsuccessful medical.
