The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Nigeria has debunked claims that it imposed a new and stricter visa restriction on Nigerians.
Speaking to BBC on Wednesday, September 10, a Qatar ministry official said that there are no restrictions on Nigerians seeking to visit Qatar.
The denial follows viral reports alleging that Nigerians must now meet additional conditions before securing a visa, including mandatory return transfer bookings, hotel reservations, and restrictions limiting applications to only women or families. The report further suggested that staying in a 5-star hotel was a new requirement for visa qualification.
