The FCT Police PRO praised the security arrangements at the World’s Largest Pot of Jollof Rice event, boasting that not a single person attempted to steal from the massive pot.
She described it as proof of effective policing and real security during the high-profile gathering.
The spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, has praised the professionalism and effectiveness of security personnel during Hilda Baci’s record-breaking attempt at the world’s largest pot of Jollof rice.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account, Adeh noted that despite the constant narrative that “Nigeria is not safe,” the event was conducted peacefully and successfully, without security breaches.
Police, Security Agencies Commended
Adeh expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Police and other security agencies for ensuring order throughout the event. She highlighted that their presence and coordination created an atmosphere where thousands of people could gather without incidents of violence or theft.
“Not a Single Person Stole the Rice”
What stood out most for Adeh was the discipline maintained by the crowd. According to her, not a single person attempted to steal from the massive pot of Jollof rice, which fed thousands of attendees.
In her words:
“Despite the chorus of Nigeria is not safe, the world’s largest pot of rice was cooked and enjoyed peacefully. Big appreciation to the Nigeria Police and other security forces who made it possible. And the best part? Not a single person stole the pot of rice, now that’s real security!”
