A Nigerian lady living at the back of her car in the United Kingdom (UK) has sent a serious message to those planning to travel there.
In a viral video on social media, the lady is seen inside a car packed with bags and household items, including foodstuffs.
Speaking in the video, she explained that although there is free food in the UK, there is no free accommodation for anyone.
She said, “if you are coming to the UK, my brothers and sisters this is a reminder that there is no free house in the UK. Look now I’m living in the back of our car”.
She advised those planning to relocate to the UK to ensure they have enough money to either rent an apartment or pay for lodging.
She ended the video by asking viewers to like, comment, and share her video, which she believes will generate a little money to help her rent an apartment.
While her story left many people emotional, others felt she should be grateful that she even has a car to live in, as they trooped to the comment section to air their views.
Truth Be Told wrote: “This video’s a mess, TBH. The woman’s situation is heartbreaking, but the way it’s presented feels like a cry for pity rather than a call for action.
“And that cucumber? Seriously? If you’re gonna highlight homelessness, focus on solutions, not shock value. Truth be told, the UK’s housing crisis is real, but this clip doesn’t do it justice.”
