An arrest has been made after Beyoncé‘s unreleased music and other sensitive documents were stolen from a rental car ahead of her Cowboy Carter Tour’s Atlanta stops in July.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, Kelvin Evans was taken into custody on Aug. 26 and booked into the Fulton County Jail. Billboard reported that Evans has been charged with one felony count of entering automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony. His bond is set at $20,000 with a preliminary hearing set for Wednesday.
Authorities noted that the stolen items have yet to be recovered.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Beyoncé’s rep for comment following the arrest.
According to an incident report at the time, thieves allegedly broke into a rental car parked at a parking deck for the Grammy-winning singer’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer, Diandre Blue, on July 8. Unreleased music and other documents were stolen just days before she kicked off her four-night run of her Cowboy Carter Tour at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The suspect had allegedly taken two suitcases that contained hard drives with “water marked music, some un-released music, footage plans for the show and past and future set lists,” per the report. Various clothing items, AirPods Max headphones and MacBook laptops were also stolen.
Beyoncé wrapped her 10th concert tour on July 26 in Paradise, Nevada, after performing across the U.S. and Europe for several months. Totalling 32 shows, the music icon also made stops in California, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, Atlanta and Washington, D.C., along with international stops in London and Paris. The tour reportedly made more than $407 million in ticket sales.
