Brenda Biya, the 27-year-old daughter of Cameroon’s President Paul Biya , has made headlines after ending ties with her parents.
Her announcement comes ahead of the Cameroonian presidential election scheduled for October 12, 2025.
Notably, President Paul biya has been serving as the President of Cameroon since November 6, 1982, making him one of Africa’s longest-serving leaders with a tenure spanning over four decades.

In a now-viral TikTok video, Brenda Biya revealed she’s cutting ties with her parents due to the hurt she has endured her whole life.
“I’m no longer part of the family. I won’t take a penny of the money you used to control me. This is from you. You have no idea how much these people have hurt me and continue to do so”, She stated during the live session.
Speaking about the scheduled Cameroonian presidential election, she stated, ‘You know who to vote for; I’m not voting for Paul Biya“.
This marks a historic moment in African politics, as she’s the first child of a sitting president to openly oppose their parent’s rule.
