Soludo Wades Into NULGE Leadership Crisis, Pledges To Uphold Rule Of Law

ONITSHA – Anambra State government has waded into the leadership crisis rocking the state’s chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), pledging to uphold the rule of law and order in the matter.

The leadership of Comrade Chuddy Orakwue had since 2022 been fighting to run the state chapter of NULGE, but a seeming orchestrated ploy that saw to alleged impersonation had trailed it, with Eucharia Uyanwune claiming to hold the mantle after the dismissal of Adigwe Chikwulu from the service.

The state government, after going through the process that threw Orakwue up as the State President of NULGE, accorded it recognition, amid what is reportedly a fresh “mob protest”.

The Uyanwune self-acclaimed leadership had staged a protest at the New Government House, Awka, questioning the state government’s recognition of Orakwue as the president of the union and permitting that check-off dues now paid to his camp.

But in less than 24 hours, Comrade Chuddy Orakwue, armed with the Appeal Court judgment to show solidarity with the government and praise the state government, Local Government Service Commission and Solution Vanguard Support Group led by Comrade Offor, working for re-election of the governor come November 8, 2025.

Addressing Soludo at the weekend’s solidarity visit, Orakwue urged the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) led administration to uphold rule of law in its intervention.

Orakwue told the governor, represented by his Chief of Staff, Ernest Ezeajighi, that his leadership was declared as authentic by the Appeal Court verdict of July 14, 2025.
