Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, is set to make history with a Guinness World Record attempt for the most cosmetic makeovers by an individual in 24 hours.
She is targeting 150 makeovers as the highlight of the maiden Tacha Beauty Festival.
The three-day festival, which will run from October 10 to 12, will take place at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos.
According to Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, the project goes beyond just breaking a record.
“This is more than a record attempt. It is a statement that Nigerian creativity and excellence can compete anywhere in the world,” she said in one of her videos on Instagram.
Aregbe added that the festival is designed to empower talent, promote culture, and create platforms where beauty and business can thrive.
The event will feature workshops and masterclasses covering makeup, skincare, hair, wellness, and fashion. A vendor village and exhibitions will also be staged to connect local beauty brands with thousands of participants, boosting opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Tacha, who rose to fame through Big Brother Naija and has since built her career as a media personality and entrepreneur, is using the festival to position Nigerian beauty on the global stage while creating a hub for learning and exchange within the industry.
