Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, adjourned the adoption of final written addresses in the case against a director in the Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) Limited, James Nolan, to November 3.
The judge adjourned the case following the absence of counsel for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the defence in court.
Justice Egwuatu had also, on June 10, fixed September 24 (today) for the matter after the lawyers did not appear in the case when it was called.
This would be the second time the case had been stalled.

Nolan, a British national, who was arraigned by the EFCC for alleged involvement in the P&D $9.6 billion fraud, had on January 16, told the court through his lawyer, Michael Ajara, that he would not call any witness in the trial.
Nolan, who jumped bail and fled Nigeria in September 2022.
The lawyer said that he would rely on the prosecution’s evidence already presented in court and would not be presenting additional evidence.
After the submission of the counsel, Justice Egwuatu adjourned the matter for the adoption of the final written addresses of the parties.
