Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has shown “no faith” in current boss Ruben Amorim.
Rooney was responding to the Red Devils’ 3-1 loss to Brentford last Saturday.
As a result, Amorim’s team has only won two league games this season and is now ranked 14th.
United have also been eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Grimsby Town.
In Rooney’s opinion, Amorim’s days as United manager are numbered.
Speaking on the Wayne Rooney Show, he said: “Ruben Amorim is my age, a bit younger, he’s still a young manager. I’m sure he has a great future. But what is going on at Man United? I don’t recognise the whole football club.
“I honestly hope he can turn it round and he does. But if you’re saying to me, ‘do you believe he will?’, then, after everything I’ve seen, honestly, I’ve got no faith in it.”
