Nigerian singer and songwriter Lojay has officially confirmed the new release date for his much-anticipated debut album XOXO.
The project, which was initially scheduled for August, will now be released on Thursday, October 10, 2025.
Alongside the announcement, Lojay unveiled the album’s full 14-track list, revealing collaborations with an impressive lineup of both African and international stars. Colombian singer Feid, UK-based artist Odeal , South African sensation Tyla , and Nigerian hitmaker Victony are all set to appear on the project.
The album includes tracks such as Mwah! featuring Odeal, Body with Feid, Memories featuring Tyla, and Sawa with Victony, alongside solo efforts like Sale, Shiver, Jericho, and Alright. The blend of features and solo tracks is expected to showcase Lojay’s versatility and his ability to bridge sounds across continents.
The delay of XOXO was first announced in August when Lojay took to social media to explain the decision taken on the album. In a candid message to fans, he said he needed “a little more time” to perfect the project, which he has been working on for the past two years. “This being my debut album, it’s so important to me that when you press play, it feels timeless,” he wrote. “After all this time, I want to be sure it’s exactly right.”
Known for his breakout single Monalisa and his emotionally rich, genre-bending sound, Lojay has already carved a space for himself as one of the most exciting voices in Afrobeats and R&B. With XOXO, the Grammy-nominated artist is poised to take a significant step in his career, offering fans what is expected to be his most ambitious and personal body of work yet.
With the countdown now set for October 10, anticipation is building for what promises to be one of the standout African music releases of the year.
