A Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company(NCWSC) official has been arrested and charged for allegedly using a fake Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) document to secure the job.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) stated that the suspect was arrested and charged on October 7, 2025, after an investigation revealed that he forged a certificate claimed to be from Bishop Ndingi High School.
The EACC investigation revealed that the document had been forged and used to secure employment at the company.
“The Commission received an allegation that the suspect had presented a forged KCSE certificate purportedly issued by Bishop Ndingi High School. Investigations conducted by the EACC established that the document was falsified and had been used to gain employment at NCWSC,” the statement stated.

The Commission said that after forwarding the file to the Director of Public Prosecution(DPP), it was allowed to charge the suspect.
The suspect was arraigned on October 7 and charged with four offenses, such as uttering a false document, forgery, presenting a forged certificate and deceiving a principal
He, however, denied all the charges and was released on a cash bail of Ksh100,000 or a bond of Ksh1 million.
According to the commission, the case will be mentioned on October 22, 2025, again.
“Upon completion of investigations, the Commission submitted the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), who concurred with the recommendation to institute criminal proceedings,” part of the statement reads.
The arrest came days after another official was arrested for the same allegations. The suspect was convicted on October 4, for forging his Diploma Certificate.
The suspect was found guilty of uttering a false document after presenting a forged Diploma in Sports Science Management, which he claimed was issued by Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
He was arraigned earlier in the year when he denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Harrison Barasa at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court.
