Man Utd beat Liverpool at Anfield for first time in 9yrs

Harry Maguire scored the winning goal to help Manchester United beat Liverpool 2-1 in a Premier League encounter on Sunday.

The Red Devils are winning at Anfield for the first time in almost a decade, having last won in 2016.

For Liverpool, it is now four losses in a row in all competitions.

Bryan Mbeumo gave Manchester United the lead after 63 seconds.

Cody Gakpo hit the woodwork three times while Bruno Fernandes missed a great chance to put United 2-0 up.

Gako then equalised for Liverpool with 12 minutes left, only for Maguire to head in United’s winner.

In the other Premier League clash on Sunday, Tottenham fell to a 2-1 defeat to visiting Aston Villa.
