#AnambraDecide2025: Voting yet to start in Nnewi LG community, voters stranded

Voting had yet to start in Ebenator community, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, as of 10:50 a.m., more than two hours after the scheduled election kick-off.

Over 1,000 voters were reportedly stranded at various polling units across the community, many of whom had come out to cast their votes, only to find empty stations.

There have also been delays in other parts of the area, where polls were scheduled to open at 8:30 am.

It was gathered that the delay was caused by the late arrival of election materials.

Meanwhile, a police pilot vehicle collided with a tricycle carrying Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps personnel on Anambra State governorship election duty at Aroma junction in the state.

Images shared showed the tricycle had collided, with one photo showing it overturned and being lifted back into position.
