Nollywood actress and producer Iyabo Ojo recently became a trending topic on social media after the release of her fellow actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, from prison.
Baba Ijesha regained his freedom on Friday, November 14, 2025, after spending more than three years in custody over allegations of sexual assault.
Following an announcement by actor Yomi Fabiyi that Baba Ijesha had been cleared by the Appeal Court, an old video of Iyabo Ojo resurfaced online.
Back in 2021, Iyabo had publicly addressed the alleged sexual assault case involving Baba Ijesha and a foster daughter of comedienne Princess. During an Instagram Live session, she expressed her opposition to his release.
In light of Baba Ijesha’s recent release, social media users have revisited the clip, recalling Iyabo’s previous comments on the matter.
