The father of three was over the moon as he graduated with a master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource option.

He happily shared his excitement as he celebrated his academic milestone and even hinted at his future education plans.

When did Michael Korir graduate? “Today I am graduating with a master’s in Business Administration, HR option, and if possible, I will continue with my education and pursue a PhD, God willing, next year,” the 73-year-old said. Korir graduated on Friday, November 14, from Kenya Highlands University during their 15th graduation ceremony.

The event saw him reunite with his joyful family, who celebrated his long-awaited success.

He began his education in the early 1960s but, unfortunately, dropped out of university along the way.

Korir opens up about educational journey However, that was not the end of his educational journey. He later returned, decades later, to challenge himself.

He proved that age should never be an excuse for not going back to school and continuing from where one left.

“I started my primary school education in 1960 and did my final secondary school exam in 1974. I worked in government until 2002, then I went to Kabarnet University in 2009, and in 2015 I came to Kenya Highlands University, where I began my second year,” he shared. He posed for heartwarming pictures alongside his joyful family, who showed up to celebrate this remarkable milestone.

Korir proudly speaks about his family Korir said he valued education deeply, and his passion inspired his children, who are also pursuing their studies in different universities.

“I want to gain more information and knowledge as I motivate my young children so they know education has no end, and there is no age limit to learning. As long as you have brains, God will help you. My wife has a diploma in Early Childhood Education, my daughter is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and my two sons are pursuing diplomas in different universities, one in Mechanical Engineering and the other in Aviation,” he proudly said. Korir’s achievement drew widespread admiration, serving as a reminder that personal growth can happen at any stage of life and that education truly has no age limit.
