Naira loses N6.76 against dollar at official window

The Nigerian currency, the naira, lost N6.76 against the American dollar at the official window on Wednesday.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1, 454.18/$1, as against the N1, 447.42/$1 it traded on Tuesday.

The naira also lost N2 against the American greenback to trade at N1,467/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,465/$1.

The local currency equally lost N10 against the British Pound to trade at N1,940/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,930/£1.

The naira closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,100/CA$1.

It also closed flat against the Euro to trade at ₦1,690/€1.
