Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has made it clear that he has no intention of giving up his trademark dance steps, insisting that his passion for dancing in no way affects his performance in office.
Adeleke, fondly called “the dancing governor” by admirers and critics alike, has long been known for his vibrant moves at public events. While some political opponents often interpret his cheerfulness as a lack of seriousness, the governor says the criticism does not bother him.
Appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Adeleke dismissed suggestions that dancing could undermine his re-election bid under the Accord Party in 2026.
“I will keep dancing because I love to dance, I love to praise my God, and that doesn’t change anything,” he said.
“So, I will still dance, praise my God, and do my work.”
Adeleke maintains that his energy on the dance floor has never stopped him from delivering on the job—and won’t stand in the way of his political future.
