A viral video of Koinange’s chance encounter with some of his fans along a Nairobi road warmed hearts online, with many netizens praising his humility.

In the video, Jeff is seen driving before being stopped by some fans who wanted selfies with him.

The fans praised Jeff as the two groups exchanged greetings.

They even referred to him as an honourable member of society.

The video impressed many netizens, who showered the journalist with endless praise, love, and affection.

This light moment came barely a month after rumours of his alleged death circulated.

The death hoax sent some Kenyans into a panic, but was dispelled by Koinange himself in a conversation with his former social media manager, Xtian Dela.

Dela had reached out to Koinange to check on him after reports of his alleged death went viral.

The social media expert sent a concerned WhatsApp message on the evening of Sunday, November 23.

“Bro bro bro! Are you good? Are you safe? Bro, TikTok has me worried. Spreading about your death… Just confirm you’re still here. Bro? Bro?….” On Monday, November 24, Koinange responded, assuring Dela and the public that he was perfectly fine.

“Bro bro. I’m alive and kicking,” he wrote, putting the rumours to rest. Dela posted the screenshot on his X account to inform the public that the beloved TV presenter was well.
