In a post from the 52-week savings challenge Facebook group, the woman shared that reaching her goal all throughout the year was not easy, as she was only relying on the wages from her small business and other casual gigs.

She recently decided to break her piggy bank and was pleasantly surprised to learn that she managed to save KSh 51,800 throughout the year.

“On 31st last year, I started saving 10% of my daily income in my home bank. It was not easy because I was in Nairobi, just relying on my business and vibarua, which means I was not guaranteed income every day, but God is faithful. I, however, remained consistent. Lo and behold! I managed to save KSh 51,800. We’ll try again next year. Happy Holidays, savers.” Many Kenyans appreciated her efforts and consistency, applauding the small daily efforts that saw her raise more than KSh 50,000.
