Bishop Dayo Olutayo , the younger brother of Faith Oyedepo (wife of Bishop David Oyedepo), set social media buzzing after he introduced his new wife as the “Mummy GO” during a church service.
The moment was captured live on Facebook during the Unity Worship Centre’s Thanksgiving service on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Bishop Dayo proudly presented Funmilola Akinrinde to his congregation as his wife and the new Mummy GO.
Reaction to His Announcement
In the viral video , Bishop Dayo told members that he wasn’t concerned about critics and encouraged everyone to welcome his wife with applause regardless of their feelings. He said:
“Whoever wants to be angry, should be angry… Help me welcome Funmilola Akinrinde. This is my wife… if you are happy, clap; if you are not happy, clap.”
He also mentioned experiencing personal attacks and hinted at a “conspiracy” against him, adding that he had never been married before now.
The introduction of his new wife comes amid reports that Bishop Dayo divorced his previous wife of 33 years, Boluwatife Olutayo. So far, neither he nor his camp has publicly addressed the details of the separation.
