Ghana: Prosper Tachie elected as GNAT President

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has elected Prosper Tachie as its new president.

Prosper Tachie defeated the incumbent President, Rev. Isaac Owusu, receiving 436 votes, which accounts for (61.71%) of the total, compared to Rev. Owusu’s 266 votes, representing (37.78%) of the votes cast on that day.

The other candidate, Charles K. Amponsah, received only 2 votes, which is (0.28%).

The election was held during the 7th National Delegates Conference at the UPSA auditorium in Accra.
