Controversy
In 2020, the Kannywood actor expressed regret for participating in a movie titled ‘Fatal Arrogance’, which depicts members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria popularly known as Shiites as terrorists.
The big-budget movie sponsored by the Nigerian Army, drew criticism from some Nigerians.

It was gathered that Muhammed has asked the producer of the movie, Anosike Kingsley Orji, to entirely remove his part from the film and that he was ready to pay damages for that.
Yakubu’s most embarrassing moment with a female fan
In an interview with The Punch, Yakubu Mohammed narrated; “The incident happened at the airport and I was in the company of my elder brother who I have so much respect for. A female fan sighted me and started calling my name. She then pulled me from the back and gave me a peck in front of my elder brother. I’m from an extended family and that my brother is 20 years older than me, so it was very awkward and I became so embarrassed. My brother then looked at me and asked if that was how I lived but I explained that I couldn’t always help times like that.”
