The devastating blaze, which engulfed the 25-storey Great Nigeria Insurance House on Lagos Island, proved fatal for the Omatu brothers.

Source: TikTok The victims, identified as Steve, Casmir, and Collins, were laid to rest in Ihiala, Anambra State, in a ceremony attended by family, friends, and well-wishers.

Those in attendance at the venue were captured in tears as the coffins of the brothers arrived their home to be laid to rest.

News of the burial was shared by @lindaikeji on Instagram, causing an outpouring of condolences and tributes from netizens.

It was gathered that the fire, which started on the fourth floor of the building, rapidly spread to other floors, trapping the brothers and making it impossible for them to escape.

The inferno eventually engulfed the entire structure, causing destruction and loss of lives.

The Omatu family has been left to pick up the pieces after the tragedy, with the loss of three beloved brothers. Steve was 40, Casmir was 39, and Collins was 37.

3 orphans die in fire accident Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a Reverend father mourned the demise of three orphans who lost their lives in the Great Nigeria House fire.

According to the grieving man, they unfortunately passed on because they got trapped and nobody came in time to rescue them.
