The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been ranked the 26th best team in the world following their third place finish at the just-concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Eric Chelle men secured huge victories from the start of the tournament until their defeat to hosts Morocco by penalty shootouts in the semifinal.
Despite failing to reach the final, the Eagles went on to overcome Egypt in the third place match last weekend to clinch bronze.
Starting the year on 38th spot in the FIFA rankings, Nigeria have now climbed 12 places to sit in 26.
