ADC Releases Updated List of National Convention Committee

April 12, (THEWILL) — The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released an updated list of its National Convention Committee and 16 sub-committees ahead of its scheduled national convention on April 14, 2026.

A statement issued on Sunday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the updated structure reflects the party’s determination to enhance efficiency, deepen internal democracy, and ensure seamless execution of convention activities.

Signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, THEWILL reports that the updated committee list unveiled the nomination of additional members into key sub-committees responsible for various aspects of the convention, including logistics, electoral processes, security, finance, accommodation, media and publicity, delegate accreditation, welfare, and venue management.

The party had earlier constituted its National Convention Central Coordination Committee, with former Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, serving as Chairman, while former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, was appointed Deputy Chairman to provide leadership and strategic direction for the convention process.

The ADC urged all committee members to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, discipline, and a strong sense of commitment to the party’s collective objectives.

It also called on stakeholders across all levels to support the planning process to guarantee a peaceful, transparent, and successful convention.

Party officials noted that the expanded structure, which now includes 16 sub-committees, is designed to improve coordination and ensure that all operational areas of the convention are effectively managed without overlap or administrative bottlenecks.

The sub-committees are expected to work in close collaboration with the central coordination committee to ensure proper planning and execution of all convention-related activities, with emphasis on credibility, inclusiveness, and organisational efficiency.
