BAFANA BAFANA KIT A HIT WITH SOUTH AFRICANS TOO
Earlier this year, Adidas, which returned as a South African Football Association (SAFA) sponsor for the next three years, revealed its new kit for the 2026/2027 season. The kits will be worn by Bafana Bafana at the FIFA World Cup.
Previously designed by Le Coq Sportif, the new look Bafana Bafana kit features a home jersey in yellow with green Adidas stripes on the side. The SAFA logo and South Africa’s national emblem – the protea flower – accompany the Adidas logos on the front of the jersey.
The away kit – which South African football fans have highly praised -features a green jersey with gold trimmings.
According to Adidas, the jerseys feature the following:
CLIMACOOL+ technology, using engineered stretch fabrics with 3D body mapping to improve ventilation, enhance breathability and help keep players dry in high-intensity and high-temperature conditions.
Perforated three-stripe panels and strategically placed mesh zones further improve airflow and comfort.
A lenticular heat-applied federation crest.
Adidas has unveiled its Bafana Bafana jerseys to rave reviews ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
