The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the composition of its Primary Election Committees and Primary Election Appeal Committees ahead of the forthcoming National Assembly nomination exercises.
In a statement issued on Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the ruling party said the committees were constituted to oversee the conduct of the primaries and handle related disputes arising from the process.
The APC urged all members and stakeholders to ensure transparency, fairness and peaceful conduct throughout the exercise.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby announces the composition of the Primary Election Committees and Primary Election Appeal Committees for the upcoming National Assembly Primary Elections.
“The Party urges all members and stakeholders to uphold transparency and fairness, and remain peaceful during the exercise, ” it stated.
According to the party, the House of Representatives primaries will hold on Saturday, May 16, 2026, across 360 federal constituencies nationwide.
It added that the senatorial primaries across the 109 districts nationwide have been scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026.
