APC Guber Primaries: Jamil Gwamna Commends Peaceful Exercise, Urges Unity

The All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for Gombe State, Dr. Jamil Gwamna, has commended the peaceful conduct of the gubernatorial primaries taking place across the state, while calling for unity among party members.

Gwamna made the call on Thursday shortly after the headcount at his Jekadafari Ward in Gombe, according to a statement by his media aide, Ibrahim Sani Shawai.

He urged all members to work together to strengthen the APC and ensure victory for the party at all levels.

Dr. Gwamna said the APC in the state has demonstrated that its internal politics are built on transparency, inclusiveness, and participatory decision-making.

According to him, these are qualities that must be sustained through unity of purpose as the party approaches the 2027 general elections.

“I want to appeal to all aspirants, contestants, and party members to approach this process as one family, knowing full well that our actions will have an impact on the growth and success of our party in the forthcoming elections.

“The primaries are internal party affairs that should unite us and not divide us because we have a bigger challenge in 2027, which we must approach with unity and collective effort to ensure that the APC shines at all levels,” he said.

Gwamna urged all contestants to accept the outcome of the exercise, while assuring them that he would also accept the outcome in good faith to ensure the unity of the party.
