The League Bloggers Awards (LBA), has announced Wednesday, July 8, as the date for this year’s edition of the awards dedicated to celebrating excellence among players, coaches and administrators in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The organisers also announced a landmark partnership with The Cordis Hotel, Ikeja, for the awards which started in 2009.
The League Bloggers Awards was conceived as an indigenous initiative to recognize and celebrate outstanding performers in the NPFL while promoting personal branding and professional development among football stakeholders.
According to the organisers, the collaboration with The Cordis Hotel marks an exciting new chapter for the awards as preparations begin for what is expected to be the most prestigious edition in the event’s history.
Speaking on the partnership, LBA Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ojeikere Aikhoje, expressed enthusiasm about the development.
“Recognising and celebrating NPFL stars has remained our tradition since the League Bloggers Awards was conceived in 2009.

Aikhoje said additional details regarding nominations, award categories, event programming, and timelines for the 2026 edition will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Player of the Season award remains the most coveted honour of the ceremony.
