The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declare the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, winner of the Saturday ,March 18th Governorship election in the state.

He said the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof. Ben Odoh, came third with 52,189 votes.
Meanwhile, the Governor-elect, Francis Nwifuru, in his acceptance speech thanked Ebonyi people for voting massively for him on Saturday.
He promised to fulfill his campaign promises of development, empowerment and human capital development when he assumes office from May, 29th.
The PDP candidate, Ifeanyi Odii, in his reaction accused the ruling APC of resorting to unnecessary violence and intimidation to win the election.
He however called on his supporters to remain calm and law-abiding, promising to take all necessary legal actions to reclaim his mandate.
He said” I’m a man of peace, and violence is not associated with my personality. Events might not be going the way we would like them to, but we must remain calm and look for solutions within the law. We cannot emulate the murderous tactics of the APC regime and their gang of conspirators.
“Though victory may be delayed, it cannot be denied. The people’s mandate remains our mission. We will not be deterred. The Promise of Possibility remains alive and strong. By the grace of God, the will of the people shall prevail. Anyi g’emeya”
