BREAKING: PDP’s Bala Mohammed Re-elected Bauchi Governor

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate and current governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has been proclaimed the victor of the state’s governorship election held on Saturday.

After receiving 525,280 votes, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, the INEC returning officer, pronounced Mohammed the election’s victor on Monday at the State Collation Center.

Out of the 19 local government areas that had votes, Mohammed won 13 of them.

He defeated Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd), a candidate for the main opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 283,000 votes and won in only six local government areas in the State.
