Snl24.com | Man Utd ‘inform’ Greenwood of comeback plan

Manchester United have reportedly told Mason Greenwood when he will be allowed to return for training.

Manchester United have reportedly informed Mason Greenwood as to when the footballer will be allowed to return to training at the club.

The Englishman’s future remains a hot topic as the Red Devils continue their internal investigation after charges of attempted rape, coercion and assault against the forward were dropped by Greater Manchester Police in February.

Reports suggest that the 21-year-old has held extensive talks with United officials in recent weeks, with the player said to be desperate to get back on to the football pitch.

While Erik ten Hag’s side is yet to reach a decision on Greenwood publicly, it has been claimed that they have rejected loan offers for the forward from clubs in Turkey.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, the Manchester club has told Greenwood that he will not be allowed to return to training until next season, pending the outcome of their investigation.

It is said the Premier League side does not want to be rushed into making a decision on the player’s future.

Meetings with both the men’s and women’s teams are expected to be held, while there has also been concern from some club sponsors about the player being allowed back into the fold.

As things stand, Greenwood remains under contract at the club until 2025.
