On Wednesday, The Challenge: World Championship star Weston ‘Wes’ Bergmann and his wife of four years – yoga teacher Amanda Hornick – announced they were expecting their first child this September.
The Kansas City couple proudly posed with sonogram images of ‘Baby Bergmann’ in a joint Instagram slideshow post.
‘We would like to take a second to thank all of our friends, family, and supporters who continue to help us become the best versions of ourselves,’ the parents-to-be wrote.
‘We aim to pour all of that love into this child in an effort to make him/her the next great, ginger, genius. While we are entering into this new stage of life with immense gratitude, we know the season of waiting too and send love & strength to anyone else hoping to one day become parents themselves. Dare we say, future Challenge champion?’
Amanda also Instastoried a snap of Wes looking pensive while drinking a beer on Wednesday: ‘I finally get to say it… that’s my baby daddy!’

Thrilled to become a big sister is the Bergmann’s 18-month-old Bernadoodle Penelope ‘Penny’ Bergmann, whom they adopted in October 2021 following the March 2021 death of their 170lb Saint Bernard Bootstrap at age 9.
The 38-year-old reality star and the HNTB team leader have been an inseparable couple as far back as 2011.
Wes and Amanda’s announcement received glowing comments mostly from his Challenge buddies Cory Wharton, Kyle Christie, Johnny Bananas, Kam Williams, Tony Raines, Jay Starrett, Amber Borzotra, Tori Deal, Darrell Taylor, Jenna Compono, and more.
The baby news coincidentally came the same exact day Bergmann was eliminated off Paramount+ spin-off The Challenge: World Championship during episode six.
The BetaBlox startup engineer has won The Challenge (formerly known as Road Rules) and its spin-offs three times – The Duel set in Brazil in 2006-2007, Rivals II set in Thailand in 2013, and The Challenge: All Stars set in Panama last year.
But audiences were first introduced to Wes at age 19 in 2005 when he made his MTV debut on The Real World: Austin.
Bergmann – who graduated from W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in 2008 – also currently commands $25/month on Patron and $75 on Cameo.
