April 15, (THEWILL) – The presiding Bishop and General Overseer of the Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), Bishop Emmah Isong, says spirituality is Africa’s Greatest Asset.
Bishop Isong made this known in Calabar while speaking ahead of this weekend’s event to mark the 2nd edition of the Africa Spiritual Day.
The event, which will be held at the CCCI Main Auditorium on April 16, 2023, will be graced by participants from about 133 countries across the world.
Organised by Interreligious Association for Peace and Development (IAPD), and Universal Peace Federation (UPF), the ceremony would provide a platform for believers of different faith and traditions to pray together to God for the good of the nation and mankind despite the perceived differences that exist.
In his words, “Spirituality is Africa’s greatest asset, with this, IAPD seeks to foster a shiny and bright continent based on the principles of interdependence.
“Mutual prosperity, and universally shared values, in line with the pronouncement by IAPD founder, Dr Hark Ja Han Moon”, Bishop Isong said.
He added that the mega event with men and women of different faith warming to take part would be made of many high numbers of participants who are to participate physically at the event with others by Zoom.
Isong, a National Publicity Secretary, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN Scribe, added that the event will have as its theme: “Abasiakara”, meaning “God rules”.
He said inspiration shall be shared among the various religious leaders, who would be present at the ceremony, and they would pray together fervently to God for the promotion and restoration of peace and development of Africa.
Besides, the event, which would serve as a platform for prayers that shall provide for the spiritual need of clerics of a different faith, the mega ceremony would also serve as a foundation for peace and sustainable development in Africa.
Personalities who will grace this year’s edition of Africa Spiritual Day will include Imboni, Dr uZwi-Lezwe Radebe, IAPD-Africa Chairman and founder of The Revelation Spiritual Home, El Hadj Habib Kane, Director of Religious Affairs, Mali.
Others are Father Louison Emerick Bissila Mbila, Chaplain at AU from Ethiopia; Venerable Dr Ilukpitiye Panasekara, Chief Monk Buddhist, Tanzania and Bishop Dr Emmah Gospel Isong, Presiding Bishop of CCCI, Nigeria, and many more from other faith traditions.
