Fire Guts Section Of Queens’ College

April 17, (THEWILL) – A section of Queens’ College in the Yaba area of Lagos State, has been gutted by fire.

An eyewitness said the fire erupted from the lodge situated at the back of the staff quarters of the school.

Confirming the incident, Director, Lagos Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, said no life was lost in the inferno as the men of the fire service swung into action to curtail its spread.

She, however, said the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.

Adeseye said the fire had since been put out by a combined effort of the Lagos State Fire Service and Federal Fire Service, while the police, who were also alerted, prevented hoodlums from gaining access to the school premises.
