Anxiety in Delta as petrol tanker falls, spills content [PHOTO]

There is anxiety among residents of Udu local government area of Delta State following an accident involving a petrol truck.

POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the tanker, which was loaded with petrol, fell on top of Udu bridge and spilled its contents on the surrounding environment.

As a result of the accident, road users and business persons who were under the bridge have been forced to evacuate the location due to the fear of an explosion or fire. The petrol tanker has also blocked the bridge, causing a serious gridlock on top of the bridge and depriving road users of access to the Sedco area of the town.

In addition, those returning from Ovwian, Owase, Jigbale axis have been denied access following the spill. It is not clear at this time what led to the fall of the petrol tanker.
