Mamelodi Sundowns defeated CR Belouizdad 2-1 on Saturday in Pretoria, securing their place in the CAF Champions League semifinals.
After winning the first leg 4-1 away from home last weekend, the victory was enough for the PSL champions to secure a 6-2 overall victory.

Sundowns trailed 24 minutes into the second leg of the match at Loftus Versfeld after Sofiane Bouchar scored, but they came back with goals from Themba Zwane and the headed effort from Thapelo Morena.
As Mamelodi Sundowns easily advanced to the quarterfinals of the continental championship, Zwane’s goal on the stroke of halftime and Morena’s goal shortly after the break knocked the stuffing out of the Algerians who faded away as the contest wore on.

Sundowns will play the defending champions Wydad Casablanca in the semi-finals after the Moroccan team narrowly advanced with a 4-3 victory against Tanzania’s Simba on penalties on Friday night.
In their history, Sundowns has only ever won the CAF Champions League once, defeating Zamalek 3-1 in a two-legged final back in 2016.
