Aba fans rally behind Super Eagles B, confident of knockout stage Berth in 2025 CHAN

Football fans in Aba are optimistic about the Super Eagles B team’s chances of advancing to the knockout stage of the 2025 CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, despite an initial setback.

The team, which lost its opening Group D match to Senegal, is set to face Sudan and Congo in their remaining group fixtures.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), several supporters shared their views on Saturday, expressing belief in the team’s potential.

Obiora Okochi acknowledged Senegal’s strength but remained hopeful, stating, “The loss to Senegal doesn’t mean the Eagles are out. They can still qualify by winning against Sudan and Congo, but they must stay sharp, as both teams could surprise them if underestimated.”

Abigail Okon echoed this optimism, saying, “I’m confident the Super Eagles B will overcome these challenges and make it to the knockout rounds.”

Emeka Atah viewed the defeat to Senegal as a wake-up call, urging the technical crew to strategize effectively.

“With focus and determination, the Eagles can beat Sudan and Congo and push toward the final,” he said.

Jeremiah Nwankwo described the Senegal match as a tough battle, noting, “Senegal showed why they’re defending champions.”

He advised the team to approach the upcoming games with caution and composure, adding, “As a Nigerian, I’m rooting for the Eagles to reach the final and make history by winning the CHAN title for the first time.”
