APC fixes Oct 27 for Ekiti gov’ship primary, pegs forms at N50m

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed October 27, 2025, for its primary poll ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State.

The party has also pegged its expression of interest and nomination forms at N50 million for each of the aspirants.

Daily Trust reports that Ekiti is one of the states where off-season elections are conducted in the country.

In a schedule of activities and timetable for the election released by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, on Thursday, in Abuja, the party said the sale of forms would commence on August 18 and end on September 2nd, 2025,.

According to the schedule, all completed forms are expected to be returned to the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, not later than September 11.

Meanwhile, the party has said female aspirants and People With Disabilities (PWD) would only pay for expression of interest form which is N10 million, while the nomination form would be free.

The APC also announced that the youth ages 25 to 40 years, are to purchase the expression of interest form with a 50% discount on the nomination form.
